It's going to be a good day~~

I woke up and told myself that this morning. I have plans to get a lot done, but even if I don't, it will be a good day.
Had to get up extra early this morning. Nicole has an invitational in swimming today and it's away. So had to have her at the school before 6:30. Thought maybe I'd lay down again for just a bit, but then I started thinking what I want to do today.
There is a store that is having 20% off today that I'd like to check out, and that starts at 9:00. Would like to get there first thing to see if they have what I want.
Then I need to come back and get my package and other mail together to take to the post office. George is up on the mountain today. He left last night. They are having a 10 meter contest this weekend (ham radio), and he will sleep on and off there. I hope he does well. 2 other guys were coming today I believe. So I have the whole house to myself. I even had the whole bed to myself last night. That was really really nice and will have it to myself tonight too! No tugging on the blankets because he keeps stealing them lol.
I got a whole lot done yesterday too. My car needed an oil change (get a free car wash too, and it needed it), plus they were having a special for inspection. Mines not due until February. Got that done too! Plus my mil's car needed her inspection. Hers was here in Ship, and mine was in another town. Even stopped at a few stores on the way home. They have a cute prim shop out that way that I stopped once before. Treated myself to a few bottle brush Christmas trees. They were having a sale.
Thursday night was the hook in at Grantstreet. Had a great time. Even finished the gift I wanted to get done! I was thrilled, since I kept putting it down and then pickign it up again. Just couldn't find the swing, but eventually did.
Marion came and she got a lot of hooking done in just a couple days. It's going to be a gift, so she is on a time frame. The shading really turned out great. Pat had suggested it needed color and she was right. Looks really nice with the blue in it.
Jill was able to finish whipping her rug, and then started hooking on another she brought. It's turning out really cute. A really sweet sampler.

Linda was working on her Stockings were hung piece. I just know she'll have it done by Monday. And will be ready to whip it, if it already hasn't been done too, at Blue and Gray when we go (wink wink, nudge, nudge). Right Linda?? They are having their Chrsitmas party that day.
It has been sooo bitter cold and WINDY the past few days. Winter is not my season. Nope, not at all. I get really grumpy. Soo, when I looked out this morning and saw that there was no wind at all, I was already in a good mood! Still bitter cold, but I'll manage. I'll do what I have to do today and then come home and piddle around here the rest of the day. Daughter won't be home until later this evening. Those invitationals are an all day thing. I don't know how the kids do it. She is swimming in 5 races I think. Hope she does well. George said he may be in and out today. But I don't have to cook!!! Another smile on my face LOL.
Wishing everyone a great weekend. Hope you finish up things on your end if you haven't already~

Thanks for the nudge ~ I'm going to have a great day, too, even though I didn't get up before the crack of dawn. I was awakened by a phone call at 9:15. I think I died and went to heaven {{grin}}!!! I have lots planned for today so I'd better get busy.
Thanks for such an uplifting post.
Pug hugs :)

Sure does sound like it's going to be a good day! Enjoy doing what you enjoy today! Yippee on the no cooking! I don't think that people who don't cook realize how much time is involved in planning and prep of meals.... or, maybe they do, and that's why they don't cook! LOL! Anyways, good luck to George on the 10 meter contest!
