Tomorrow will be New years Eve, and then soon, another year will begin. I am looking forward to the New Year. 2009 had it's ups and downs, but I am so thankful for so many things. Too many to list, but I've given thanks to the one who provided or allowed it all to happen. The good and the bad. Soooo, what will 2010 hold in store for me? I have no clue! But I'm eager to see and experience what is ahead.
I'm not one for making resolutions, but I do have some goals for this year. I am going to write them down and then this time next year I will go over them and see how I did. That is if it's God's will that I'm still here. Life is so short, we have no idea what tomorrow till bring. So I'm giong to enjoy each and every day that I have breath.
I really want to live life to it's fullest, and that includes reading on a regular basis God's word. I'd like to further my rug hooking by using more color (yes Joan lol). I'm not talking crazy, just experiment more. I'll be taking a class with Norma Batastini in the Spring, and want to learn something new. Even if it's one little thing. I've had so much fun doing some cross stitching and punch needle, that I want to continue doing that too. Along with doing more penny rugs this year too. So I have a lot planned to make, but also would like to get my house in order and finish off rooms that need it! One day at a time is my plan. But inside each day, I'd like to use my time more wisely. I sit so much in front of this box, that by the time I feel like I want to start something, it's too late in the day. Most of the time that is bed time! I'm hoping that the times I do get back on here to post, I will have something to show for my time I've been away.
I said I want to get started hooking again, but still have not come up with anything yet. My frame is calling me!!! Next Thursday hooking at Grantstreet will start up again after being closed for these 2 weeks for the Holidays. I am determined to either pull a pattern from my pile, or have something drawn up and ready to go. I have a long weekend to put my thinking cap on.
Tomorrow George and I will be going to a New Years Eve party. We won't be staying late, but it will be nice to get out and have a good time with friends.
Since I know I won't be back on for a few days, I just want to wish everyone a Very Happy New Year! May this year bring you much Peace, Joy, Good Health, and Prosperity. I hope it's a start of something "new" for each of you...
We can't succeed unless we fail at something first. And we can't fail at something if we don't at least try!

Hi Kathy,
I wish you all the best in the coming year!
Making each day count is really important. We only have so much time and to waste it on meaningless things is almost sinful.
So here's to living life in the best way we can!
Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year Kathy! What a beautiful post! Your words are very inspiring! I especially like your closing statement "we can neither fail nor succeed unless we at least first TRY!" Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and creativity with us throughout 2009... looking forward to the adventures of 2010! :-)
Happy New Year to you and George and the kids, too. I also am looking forward to the new year with new beginnings. This is a wonderful time of the year for remembering and planning for new experiences. I hope your new experiences are great!
Just read your post..and I hope you have a wonderful New Year! You are so right, Kathy...we never know what will the new year will hold for us...I think about that everytime I take the deocrations down..isn't that silly? Being so thankful for the past years...with it's ups and downs, and wondering what joys, challenges and changes will come with this year. God Bless you and your family!
