Loving this weather~~~

We are having gorgeous weather this week!  On the drive home from work today, I had the windows open and it felt so wonderful. Stopped at the grocery store on the way, and the first thing I did was take my coat off when I got out of the car. I had put it on when I left.  Did NOT need it.  Just took my time getting home.

Tonight I made a healthy dinner for me and my hubby. Some fish, rice and vegetables.  Daughter had the window open and there was a nice breeze coming in.  Yes, it feels like Spring! The rest of the week looks like it will be just as nice. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I am going to a hook-in on Saturday in Lancaster, Pa.  Looking forward to it! Still don't know what I'm taking to work on yet.  Will figure it out tomorrow or Friday. I have some whipping to do yet, so maybe I'll just travel light and do that. We'll see.

It's already Wednesday. This week has flown by, and tomorrow is the hook-in at Grant Street.  Not sure what I'm working on tomorrow either.  Geez, you would think I could have it together, but I don't.  Just not enough hours in the day, all though we all get the same 24 hours, don't we?

I had a wonderful surprise package in the mail this week. It was from Betty.   I am in awe of the punchneedle piece. She is soo talented.  When I saw it, I knew it reminded me of a rug that my friend Tonya did.  Tonya, doesn't it look great??  Betty, you did a wonderful job with your inspiration from that rug!

I'm playing with the updated feature for adding pictures here. Thank you Joanne for sharing that with me "again".  It's pretty neat!

Well, I just got back from a 4 mile walk with my friend Donna, plus I did a kick boxing workout this morning before work. I usually don't do two workouts in the same day. Just every so often, and I couldn't pass up walking in this gorgeous weather! Now it's time to finish the laundry and clean up a little.  I want to get to bed early.  I've been doing very well lately with my exercising and don't want to stop now.  I've always enjoyed doing my workouts in the morning. I'm just not a fan of getting up at 5:00 to do it.  But if that's what it takes, then I am just going to have to deal with it.  As I get older, and going through the change,  the weight just doesn't want to budge. I'm willing to work hard at it though.  The hardest part was getting started. But now that I've gotten over that hump, it's just a matter of keeping it going.  With the exercising, comes better eating habits too.  You want to eat better. Who wants to do all that working out and then mess it up with eating poorly.  I'm still having my sweets (lately it's been frozen yogurt :) ), but I'm choosing everything else with more thought and eating better portion sizes. I've never been one for a quick fix at weight loss. It's a life style change that works best for me. I don't have a whole lot to lose, just enough to get back into some things I wore last summer.  Amazing how it just creeps up on ya over the winter!

Wishing everyone a wonderful rest of the week!  Hope you all take advantage of the nice weather and just go out for a walk.  It's one of my favorite exercises......  It might just inspire you to keep on walking!

It is such a relief to know spring is so near. That's great you are walking, I need to do that too.

I can completely identify with the winter weight gain! I walk everyday in the Spring, Summer and Fall until it gets below zero in the winter........and boy does it help. But the few months I don't walk....I gain it all and then some back!! It's getting harder the older I get to take it off!! Good luck with your exercise routine and healthy eating! We want to live long and hook! Cathy G

The p/n piece from Betty is wonderful.
Congratulations on exercising diligently! Something I need to do, but never do. The treadmill has a generous coating of dust...lol!
The weather in northern has been wonderful, too. I've been getting some yard work done ~ woo hoo! I think it is supposed to be 60 tomorrow and 38 on Monday. Like they say, if you don't like the weather in Ohio, stick around for a day and it will change!
I should find out tomorrow if the dry sink is still available. The shop has been closed since Saturday. If I get it, I will be sure to post a picture!!!
Pug hugs :)

Good for you getting into a routine - that's the hardest part - you are well on your way - they say it takes 21 times to make something a habit! Glad the feature worked for you - I was just teasing you when I left that previous comment. Keep your toes crossed that the weather is nice thru the weekend in NY too! I'm mad I'll miss the hook-in - why does all the fun stuff happen at the same time!
