Hum drum day......

I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I did. My son Craig was here with his girlfriend Lake. And then it was just Nicole and George and I. For a 23.5 lb turkey, we have quite the leftovers lol. My mil was not up to coming out, so I took her a meal in the afternoon and sat with her. Also took her some more yesterday for her dinner. I know I'll be freezing a few meals.
Well, unfortunately I'm not feeling all that well. I'm not sick, sick. Just not up to par, and have a lack of energy. I always go out on Black Friday every year and leave at a rediculously early hour. This year however, I rolled out of bed and was out the door around 9:00! I was more or less a walking zombie. I'm not sneezing, or coughing, or have a fever. Just out of it. I was back home around 1:30 or so, and that was it for me. I even went to bed last night at 10:00, but was up every 2 hours or so. Didn't sleep well at all.
So today is a do absolutely nothing day. Figured I'd play around with the blog for a bit and then maybe take a nap. Not sure which background I'll stick with, but I wanted to change it.
Perhaps later I'll feel a little better and work on some Christmas gifts. Really not even in the mood to do that, ugh........
Guess I'll have to push myself to get out of my mood. Sure hope everyone else is having a wonderfully creative weekend!

Hi Kathy - I think if is called the "after the big day blues" - happens to a lot of us. You just have to get up and 'at 'em again. Hope you are feeling better soon. I hope to come to Chambersburg sometime before Christmas. Have a good day.

Hugs to you Kathy! I think this is called being overwhelmed! ;-) So many things to do this time of year on top of the "regular stuff" is enough to wear down energy as well as keep the mind working into overtime (like when trying to fall asleep). Take deep breaths and realize you are only one person and are doing your best! I hope you get to relax with some stitching today... that always resets the spirit a bit!

Hi Kathy,
Hope you are feeling better. This time of year is enough to wear anyone down! Just too much to do and not enough time to do it!
Take care! Hope to see you soon.

Hi Kathy,

hoping you just need some recharging and aren't coming down with something...that's about all I did yesterday...so many plans and then couldn't follow through...was an effort to turn the page of a good book...
maybe a cup of cocoa and some time under a cozy blanket will perk you up...big hugs...

I do hope you are not getting sick! I feel the same way you do. I stress myself out every year getting ready for the holidays. You'd think after all these years I'd learn that Christmas falls on December 25th every year...lol!
Pug hugs to get you going :)
Lauren
