Just dropping in ~~

To say hello.  Haven't really been in the mood to blog, but figured since I have some pictures from the past 2 weeks, I would share them with you.  They aren't in any particular order...

Lois working on her yellow ware.

Marion's rose's completed.

Genny working on her tote bag.

Debbie, hooking for the first time.

Bethany doing a wonderul job with her roosters/chickens (you know me and farm animals lol)

Debbie's quilt she brought along to show us. Sweet!

Cherina, hooking for the first time (big first rug, eh?)

Linda's grand daughter Madeleine taking a break from hooking to work on something else.

Doris giving Linda a tip on splitting her wool. Doris' rug is in the foreground of the photo. Check out those flowers!!

Erika, also a brand new hooker. She is going into 10th grade. Isn't it great, all these new hookers?

Jill working on her son Isaac's rug.

Madeleine holding her rug!

Linda's first attempt at fine hooking a rose. Beautiful! She has been playing with it and tweaking it.

And finally my rug!! I am finished hooking it. Just need to whip it. It is pinned to the floor right now after steaming.

I have been doing ok. Giving myself time, and trying to fill in my days with things that matter the most to me right now. Family and friends.  Hoping to get somewhat in a routine. Of what? I don't know yet. Just would like to be a bit more organized/structured with my time.  I still feel so out of sync.

Friday I went out to dinner with 2 girlfriends. We walked into town. It was muggy, but still a nice walk.
On Saturday, Nicole and I went into Chambersburg for their Chamberfest.  Another hot one, but nice to spend some time with my daughter. Saw a group demonstrating Zumba and we are going to look in to it to do together. Came home from there and dove right in to cleaning up the house. That freed me up to have the evening to finish hooking my rug.  George was away for the evening, and Nicole had to work. So the house was very quiet.

Not sure what I'll be working on next. Will keep you posted! Have a wonderful week~~

Hi Kathy,
Glad you are back to blogging!
Thanks for sharing the pics from Grant Street. Since I don't stay into the evening, it's nice to see the rugs that the 'night shift' is working on.

Hurray! I got my Grant Street dose without having to drive 3 plus hours!!!! LOL! It really is very nice to see so many new hookers! Bethany's roosters are so handsome! And Cherina's rug is huge for a beginner, but it will be beautiful when finished! Who knows? She could have it finished by next week's hook-in! Madelines rug is very nice too! And a big congrats for you having some hooking time to finish your beautiful rug! It really did hook up very nice!

Its great to see so many new hookers at work. Everyone's rugs look beautiful, and they are all large projects. They must be very dedicated. I seem to lose interest in the larger projects.

Thank you for sharing all the great rugs! Cherina is very ambitious. I have yet to hook a rug that large. It's nice to see so many new hookers ~ especially young ones.
Your rug is absolutely to die for wonderful. Good job ;-)
Pug hugs :)

okay, so my curiosity is up!1 Why and how did you pin your rug on the floor to steam it? ZUMBA....thats a little provocative for a temder blossom isn't it??

Jill, I always steam my rug in that spot. I have a throw rug I put under it for the steaming. it's just a bigger area for me to lay it out flat. Then I removed the throw rug and pin it to the carpet since it's more pliable after steaming. That just helps me square up the rug so that it lays nicer.
And you "would" have to throw that comment in there about my tenderness. You are too sweet lol.

It's very fun to watch your Nice Rug Workshop! Kid's and of all ages will definitely love the way to create beautiful master piece. I like Debbie's rug.. it's very colorful, perfect for the kids room.
