Linda was working on finishing off a pillow for Doris. She had bought some braiding, and Doris had some green velvet to use as the backing. Well, when I saw the green, my first thought was Gone With The Wind. It's a beautiful shade of green. Linda ran to the other room and well, the picture speaks a thousand words lol.
On Thursday at the hook in, there were just a few of us this time. Joanne didn't make it, but is thinking/planning on coming next week. Missed ya Joanne! Doris came by after her doctors appointment to work with Linda on some more of her fine cut. She is doing a wonderful job hooking it. Doris was explaining something here.
Then Pat stopped by. She is working on her Baltimore quilt pattern. It's turning out lovely.
Pat also took the time to enlarge and transfer a design for me to teach me the needle turn applique. I was ready to go when she got there. The night before, Linda had taken me to Needle and Thread which is out near Gettysburg and I picked out some fabric. Really nice store. Have heard so many things about it. Thanks Linda for taking me and helping me with the fabric. I did all the steps that Pat had shown me and then started the sewing. I really enjoyed doing it. Thank you so much Pat!
Ok, one little problem. I never took a picture of it to show you! After I worked on that for a bit, I gave my eyes a break and started hooking a piece by Buttermilk Basin. Again, no picture to show you! LOL. I worry about getting everything else and then nothing of my own. Soooo, this will give me another opportunity to post over the weekend. I'll try to take a picture tomorrow and share it. I feel bad enough that my posts are only once a week now.
Of course, you can't have a hook-in without a snack. Linda made some pumpkin pie the night before and brought it in. Now remember how many of us girls there were? We (ok, Linda and I) had more than anyone else. We were well into the second pie before we went home! It was very good!
That's about it for this week. I will plan on posting again before the weekend is out to give you an update on what I'm working on.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! The nice temperatures are hard to come by lately. Enjoy all you can!

Oh man - I missed Scarlett and pumpkin pie - I missed all the fun - Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Gosh, maybe that green velvet sould be a dress for Linda instead of a pillow backing. I would love to see what you did with the pattern that Pat fixed for you - how about a pic?
Now see, I thought my week just drug by....slow as molasses. That pumpkin pie looks delish!
Looks like a fun day. Doris' shading is really beautiful on her rug.
