I have not posted in a while, one being the outside work, and the other is that my son changed my whole computer around. I no longer have one program, but another. And I tried and tried to get the pictures saved, and it gave me nothing but a headache. I don't like the way it is set up, so I will have to talk to him to see if I can get the way it used to be. I eventually got just a few on here. So busy, not much to share.
Here is Pat's rug that she brought to the hook in 2 weeks ago. Can't believe it's been that long since I posted. Told you I was busy!! Isn't her rug wonderful? She was whipping it that day. I'm sure it's all done by now, and she has started something else.
There was a big UH OH that happened as well. I was talking to Sherri who came later in the evening and my fan stopped working. Poor Sherri, I think she thought I blamed it on her lol. I tried to get it back together, but didn't want to make more of a mess, so I put it all in a baggie and took it home to my hubby.
The man can work miracles :) !!!!! I told him, "I don't care if you have to duct tape it back together, just get it to work!!". And he did :) It no longer stays on by itself, I have to hold it, but that's just fine with me. My hot flashes are being taken care of!
Joanne couldn't make it last week, and she had left her frame at the shop. Had to make it feel like she was there.......... (it's waiting for you Joanne, I kept Linda from selling it lol)
One good thing that happened at the hook in, was that I finished hooking my Horse rug. I am pleased with it. I will be whipping it at the hook in this week. No time to do it while working outside. Rather than a border, I am just going to whip it in the antique black that is in the center. I just wanted a frame around it.
So that is it for this week. I'm hoping we have a good turnout at Grantstreet this week so I can share more with you. This weekend I'm hoping to finish up the yard work completely. And I'm not even thinking about the staining of the deck yet!! Why my husband made it two levels, I have NO idea lol.
Have a Wonderful week everyone!

My you sound like you have been busy and I know how you feel about those flowerbeds. I've been battling with mine....the simpler the better. I'm going to be going around with a bottle of round~up battling all that grass that keeps poking back up.
Those "shoes" are scary :)
Hope you get some rest.
Yuck, I hate yardwork and so does Zip (except for riding the mower!) Our weeds can testify! You are sooo ambitious to tackle all that planting and mulching. And yanking out bushes! Whew!!!
Your horse rug is lovely! Beautiful primitive colors and perfect hooking.
Can't wait to see what you do next.
You're very busy enjoying Summertime! Good going on all those shrubs and landscaping. I think you got all of it set just before the huge heatwave comes in tomorrow! Your horse rug hooked up beautifully!!!! Joanne's chair and frame look awfully lonely without her!!!! And yah...t those animal feet are quite disturbing!
I like your horse rug! Congrats on finishing it! Pats rug is awesome is that a pattern she sells? The background is inspiring me for a light blue. And i was literally laughing outloud at the broken fan...poor sherri she probably needs a hug after that! Cant wait to the hook in at GRANT STREET this thursday!
wow Kathy... that is a job you took on the yard.. the older I get the harder the digging and and pulling get!! I dug up a new small garden area (taking grass out) and that about killed me>>!!LOL!! your rug is great and Pats is awesome as usual!! Good luck finishing up!! Michael has a soccer game this thursday.. and we share the car...so Im hoping to work something out so I can go to grantstreet!! Miss you guys!!
Keep at that yard work Kathy! Sounds like you have a good handle on it now and I bet it feels good. I keep my flowers pretty simple too. Love how your double horse rug came out. So soft and old looking. Pat's rug is beautiful too!
Love love love Pat's rug!!! Really like that shaded of blue! Your horse mat is so cute too Kathy!
Ahh thanks for thinking of me and keeping a reservation open! I'm happy George was able to save your little fan - I can image what you were like when it broke...poor sherri!
You are ambitious with all that gardening! But I know that once you start the big projects, there's no going back! I love your horse rug. I came out beautifully!

Oh those hooves ashtrays in pant legs are too funny. I would be interested to see the ashtrays without the pant legs just for curiosity.
Gardening can be pretty intense at this time of year, I don't mind hard physical work but I hate the mosquitos and black flies and those midgets or no-se-em.
I love hpw your horse rug turned out. Very nice colors. JB
Kathy - I wanted to stop in and say hi and to say Congratulations. I know your daughter graduates this weekend. I tell you I am having such a hard time letting go. I didn't realize how difficult this time would be. It's hard to see how your little girl turns into this young lady and is independent and strong. I know it is a good thing but I am NOT ready!! :(
